The Danish blues rock band, Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado are now coming to Fasching for the seventh time since 2016. Be sure to buy your ticket in good time, it usually sells out!
They have long been one of Europe’s most diligently touring blues bands with their very own mix of soul, rock, blues, funk, Americana. They play almost exclusively their own material, with seven musicians on stage. The band has so far played more than 1300 gigs in 22 different countries, but they have more fluidity now than ever. Speaking of floating, they’re embarking on Joe Bonamassa’s five-day Mediterranean blues cruise, “Keeping the Blues Alive,” just days after returning from their recent US-Canada tour.
The band has gone from strength to strength. And it is not “only” their recorded music – with 20 million streams – but they have also gathered a loyal live audience, where many have followed them over the years, and travel far to hear them. Some have heard them dozens of times. And every time the band releases a new tour schedule or video, people ask “when are you coming to… Australia/California/Memphis/North Mississippi?”
