Stockholm’s Blues Association’s traditional “Epiphany blues” presents a full evening of blues, first with the band Among Lynx Duo and finally Trickbag. There will also be a scholarship award by Sven Zetterberg’s Blues Foundation during the break.
SVEN ZETTERBERG’S BLUES FOUNDATION is a foundation whose purpose is to promote interest in blues music in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. The foundation fulfills its purpose by annually awarding a “Prize in memory of Bluesman Sven Zetterberg” to a person, a band, or an association that works for the purpose.
Trickbag: Finally, Sweden’s biggest blues export is back on the Fasching stage and the classic “Trettondags Bluesen” is under the auspices of the Stockholm Blues Association! The last time it went, the band celebrated its 25th birthday with a note on the door and in October 2024 also celebrated 30 years at the top of the European blues scene with a new compilation album & anniversary tour! Whether it’s Blues, Rock n’ Roll, Rhythm n’ Blues or Soul, this top European act always delivers & live Trickbag is an explosive act where the musicians always go on stage with maximum energy. The band’s “backbone” (as well as founder & only remaining member since the beginning) is the charismatic singer Tommy Moberg who has a number of prizes, awards and nominations in his bag, among other things he has been inducted into the International Blues Hall of Fame & he truly personifies the term ” Front Man”. A milestone in the band’s career was when in 2015 they got to play for the second time at the prestigious Doheny Blues Festival in California in front of 20,000 people! Trickbag has collaborated & done a number of tours with some of the greatest living Blues artists and also recorded one of his 9 albums in the USA.

Among Lynx Duo is a swinging and dirty distillate of the roots rock band Among Lynx. With roots in the American blues tradition, a sound is created that flirts with 70s rock and contemporary pop. It’s heavy, raw and cheesy. The duo has managed to complete three trips to the USA in the last two years, the most recent to Austin where they wrote music, visited several bands and had a couple of their own gigs. The band’s song “Lola Luna” was also picked up by American radio. Among Lynx released their fourth album in February 2023, this followed by a Scandinavian release tour. Among Lynx have also been active in the female music collective Ladies got the Blues.
