When Paris-born vocalist and vinyl DJ Stella Zekri joined forces with Italian producer Ed Longo, sparks flew. Their shared love for forgotten grooves and the multicultural French productions of the 1980s led to Détends-Toi (2022) – a sun-drenched mini-album paying tribute to zouk and boogie, filtered through the Paris underground and reimagined for today’s dance floors.
The band, assembled specially for the project, features musicians from Germany, France, Italy and Latin America – and you can hear it. Together, they craft a sound that looks both back and forward: nostalgic yet inventive, with every rhythm carrying echoes of the past and the pulse of what’s to come.
