Copenhagen native Stefan Pasborg has assembled a Danish super trio featuring Carsten Dahl on piano, electric piano, and percussion, alongside Fredrik Lundin on tenor saxophone and flute.
These three virtuosos, hailing from the top tier of Scandinavian improvisational music, craft powerful and heartfelt original compositions that traverse past, present, and future. Their music, as captured on the trio’s Live in Denmark (2024), blends A Love Supreme undertones in tracks like Earth with Brecker-esque energy in Wonky Donkey.
As the trio leader, Pasborg has performed over 1,000 concerts across 40 countries and five continents, from Shanghai to Vancouver, Zanzibar to Seoul, and New York to São Paulo. A visionary force, he founded the ILK Music label, the orchestra Ibrahim Electric, and the project “Ritual Dances,” reinterpreting the music of Igor Stravinsky.
