Sarah Riedel: Jazz – the Pippi way

It’s been 80 years since Pippi Longstocking first turned the world upside down – and we’re marking the moment with music full of charm, groove, and childlike rebellion. Joined by some of Sweden’s finest jazz musicians, Sarah Riedel brings to life beloved melodies from Astrid Lindgren’s timeless stories – all composed by her father, the late Georg Riedel. The concert is both a joyful tribute to his musical legacy and a heartfelt goodbye to one of Sweden’s most iconic composers.

Expect Karlsson-on-the-Roof, Emil, the kids from Bullerbyn – and of course, Pippi – all wrapped up in playful jazz arrangements filled with improvisation, interaction, and plenty of heart. A magical musical moment for the whole family – where imagination takes the lead and the classics come to life in a brand new way.

Lineup – Or as Pippi might say: Five wild ones on a mission to jazz things up.
