Sanna Ruohoniemi is one of the strikingly individual Nordic artists & composers who successfully melds the open-sky freedom of modern jazz with the rich folk traditions of her homelands.
Her new album “Let Everything Happen”, is the follow up of “Start from Nothing”, which was praised by critics in Sweden and abroad. Among others Europe Jazz Media Chart included it as one of the best new releases in Europe in November 2018.
Expect modern jazz with elements of folk tones, funk, bebop and tango. Swedish magazine Opulens wrote after a gig:
”The rumour of her capacity had spread and the venue was more than full. Variation was found both in songs and in her voice showing a great range. All in all, she´s composer and singer worth to keep an eye on from now on.”
Brand new “Let Everything Happen” was recorded in the Atlantis studio in Stockholm and mixed by Pål Svenre.
