Mezzoforte has been a dominant force on the international fusion scene for over four decades and one of Iceland’s biggest musical exports of all time. They broke through the sound barrier with their mega hit “Garden Party” which came in 1983 and became the first Icelandic band to tour internationally with great success year after year. They know how to write solid funky North Atlantic jazz rock. Now they are finally back at Fasching for two evenings in April!
“Icelandic Mezzoforte are now veterans of the still-vibrant European fusion jazz scene. /…/ Where most other fusion bands settle for simple musical themes as springboards for solos, the Icelanders have always excelled with fine melodies. It still does.” SvD about the album Islands.
