Rotem Geffen

Singer, pianist and composer Nelly Klayman-Cohen, who performs under the name Rotem Geffen, a refined and raw dream world not far from the musical universes Björk and PJ Harvey have built.

Her new album The Night is the Night is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed album You Guard the Key. The lyrics are written in German, English and Hebrew and form a multilingual conversation that explores memory, love and grief in a kind of poetics of the night.

Geffen’s music flows with a sensual sense of sound orchestrated with some of Stockholm’s most innovative improvisational musicians.

Now Rotem Geffen comes to Fasching where she shares the evening with Matti Bye Trio.
