Lina Nyberg Big Band
The singer and composer Lina Nyberg celebrates 30 years since her first album Close (duo with Esbjörn Svensson 1993) was released. On this special evening, she appears for the first time with her own cross-generational “All Star” big band.
The music will be a journey from 1993’s jazz standards onwards and the audience in Stockholm will also for the first time hear the work “The World’s a Stage” in its entirety, the music she wrote for the Bohuslän Big Band last year and which has been praised by reviewers all over the world . Get ready for an evening to remember!
“The music sounds solidly worked out but also sensual, sometimes downright humorous and always creatively permissive.” Today’s news
“…most important is her gift of conveying deep, and sometimes even troubled emotional states of mind in an elegant and engaging way, without sliding into sentimentality but with a warm and insightful delivery.”
