Elsa Månsson Kvartett

During the evening’s concert, double bassist Elsa Månsson will perform her own compositions written with the bass in the center. The songs draw inspiration from her everyday life and are especially written with the musicians in mind. With songful melodies and colorful improvisers, airy ballads are mixed with a powerful sound.

Follow along as Astrid Anderhagen et Les Grands go on a musical journey through the world of legendary french composer, arranger, conductor and jazz pianist Michel Legrand. Legrand, whose music has become a natural part of the jazz repertoir, is also a name outside of the jazz genre composing for musicals and films etc. His work has been awarded with multiple Grammy Awards, which is only a small part of his outstanding legacy in the music world.

By taking inspiration from well known arrangements and through personal interpretations, Astrid Anderhagen et Les Grands will perform their favorites from his song treasure. The concert will feature a mix of touching, emotional ballads and energetic grooves with vibrant horns.
