The Nalen Legacy Octet is a newly formed band dedicated to reviving the rich musical heritage of Nalen’s 1950s jazz scene. The group brings back arrangements from the era’s most influential Swedish jazz orchestras, led by legends such as Arne Domnérus, Lars Gullin, Carl-Henrik Norin, and Putte Wickman.
Pianist Carl Bagge, the driving force behind this initiative, has gained access to original arrangements crafted by key members of these orchestras, including Bengt Hallberg, Georg Riedel, and Lars Gullin. Now, in 2024, this music is set to come alive once more!
The evening kicks off with a performance by the band, followed by an open jam session.
