Sometimes the songs have lyrics, sometimes the music speaks for itself. Soprano saxophone and piano intertwine in strong melodies that drive forward or rest calmly on top of bass and drums. All music and lyrics are written by the pianist and singer Fanny Gunnarsson. Upcoming release is the fourth album “Night of Stars”, which will be released on April 14, 2023. The EP “Share Your Past” (2019) is Fanny Gunnarsson Quartet’s third and latest record and contains four songs of modern, innovative jazz with pop elements. Their second release “Mirrors” (2017) was named Vocal Jazz Album of the Year by LIRA magazine. The debut album “Same Eyes as You” was released in 2014 with Jan Lundgren as producer.
