Enji is the Mongolian-born, Munich-based jazz vocalist currently captivating the global scene. Her last album Ulaan made Best of the Year lists in The Guardian, The New York Times and The Washington Post, and she’s now nominated for the 2024 Deutscher Jazzpreis. This spring, she returns with the new single Ulbar and her forthcoming album Sonor, where her sound takes on new warmth, clarity, and accessibility – all while remaining deeply rooted in Mongolian tradition.
Ulbar is the Mongolian word for the colour of the sky at sunset – a perfect metaphor for Enji’s music: gentle, shifting, luminous. Her voice floats just above a whisper, carrying both intimacy and intensity. Blending jazz, folk, and poetic storytelling, Enji is joined by a world-class band whose dynamic chemistry reflects the music’s emotional depth. This is a rare chance to witness a rising star just as she’s stepping into her full power.
