Cool Funeral Beer is inspired by funeral ceremonies from Ghana and is a continuation of Bengt “Beche” Berger’s project Bitter Funeral Beer from the early 1980s, which was also legendary release on ECM. Bengt “Beche” Berger is a jazz drummer, but more than 50 years of experience in what is today called world music and studies in India and Ghana, among others, have made a deep impression on Beche’s music.
Cool Funeral Beer is a continuation of Bitter Funeral Beer, Beche’s project from the early 1980s and which was also released on a legendary album on ECM. Which musicians participate is secret. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of a unique experience!
