In September last year, Bengt Säve-Söderbergh passed away. During his final months, he wrote a book about his life and the visions he had – and realized. Drömmen om demokrati och andra visioner is published by Atlas Publishing and includes a foreword by former Prime Minister Ingvar Carlsson.
Bengt Säve-Söderbergh was deeply committed to democracy, international solidarity, and human rights. He was a true “doer.” He was the first Secretary-General of the Olof Palme International Center and initiated the formation of International IDEA. He was also passionate about culture, especially jazz. For twenty-two years, he served as chairman of Svensk Jazz. He also founded Faschings Vänner and the Monica Zetterlund Society.
The evening is organized in collaboration between Arenagruppen and Atlas Publishing, Faschings Vänner, Fasching, and Svensk Jazz.
