Love is the strongest of all forces.
It relentlessly claims humanity’s pursuit. It is the ultimate goal of nearly all effort; it exerts an inconvenient influence on the most important matters, interrupts even the most serious occupations every hour, and baffles even the greatest thinkers. No subject is therefore as prevalent in art as love itself.
The artistic vision for this project is to portray love in all its colors—its pain, joy, longing, and despair. It features standards from the American songbook, classical German pieces, French chansons, and Mexican rancheras, arranged for jazz, accordion, and voice. This music reflects the idea that, regardless of our worldly form, cultural background, or place in time and history, we all stand equal in our longing to love and be loved.
Above all, love is the greatest.
