Songs To Keep You Company On A Dark Night – Album release!
Saxophonist and composer Elin Forkelid has been setting the tone for Swedish jazz for more than 15 years. In her new project STKYCOADN she explores a more low key and contemplative side of her artistry. The source as well as inspiration for the project is trumpeter Kenny Wheeler’s album Angel Song from 1997, a record that has followed Elin for a long time.
STKYCOADN was launched by a concert during Stockholm Jazz Fest 2023. A freezing day in January the music was recorded in the classic Atlantis Metronome studios in the Swedish capitol. This night at Jazzclub Fasching the self titled album is released on Elin’s record label Sail Cabin Records. A warm welcome to this release concert!
