In addition to his own quartet, he is frequently employed as a jazz soloist in many contexts, but also frequently appearing in TV productions such as Let’s Dance, Idrottsgalan, Vilket liv and Allsång på Skansen. As a trumpeter, Karl is inspired by all the giants of jazz history, from Armstrong to Marsalis, and through them has developed a personal way of expressing himself characterized by spontaneity, technical and rhythmic finesse, a nice sense of melody and a great variety in register and dynamics.
