London-based Band Blurb is led by award-winning Nigerian saxophonist, Camilla George who is a beacon of the new British jazz scene. She is behind productions with among others Nubya Garcia and Ezra Collective.
Her last performance at Fasching was during the Stockholm Jazz Festival 2021 when she shared the evening with Melissa Aldana, a concert that was praised by the reviewers. This time around, she brings her third studio album, Ibio-Ibio which is a tribute to the Ibibio people of South Eastern Coastal Nigeria released in 2022, but also of course playing some material from the award-winning album The People Could Fly (2018). Turn up the anticipation! It will be an unforgettable evening with new jazz and Afrobeat fusion.
