Lassy is one of Finland’s most influential jazz voices, awarded both the EMMA Prize for Jazz Album of the Year and the Yrjö Award for Jazz Musician of the Year, and praised by tastemakers like Gilles Peterson and DownBeat. The trio – with bassist Ville Herrala and drummer Jaska Lukkarinen – is a stripped-down yet expressive unit. Their dynamic interplay forms the core of both the debut album Trio (2021) and the live recording Live in Helsinki (2025), both released on the Helsinki-based label We Jazz.
