One of the world’s most acclaimed jazz saxophonists, Chris Potter, is coming to Fasching alongside pianist and organist Craig Taborn, a former member of Potter’s band Underground.
Potter emerged on the jazz scene as a prodigy at just 13 years old and has released around twenty albums as a leader, in addition to collaborating with jazz legends such as Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, Steely Dan, Mike Mainieri, Dave Douglas, and Dave Holland.
Craig Taborn, renowned for his innovative solo, duo, trio, quartet, and quintet recordings, has also worked with Vijay Iyer, Christian McBride, Bill Frisell, and Mats Gustafsson.
After two decades of collaborating in various ensembles, Chris Potter and Craig Taborn are hitting the road with their duo project in 2025.
Blending original compositions and standards, as well as electronic and acoustic elements, these two master musicians, improvisers, and composers promise a Fasching evening that will surprise and inspire.
