The Ghana-born British pop-soul singer Myles Sanko pours honey and velvet from his voice and lets the wind and groove remind us of Fasching’s all-time soul nights.
Sanko comes to Fasching with his tight seven-piece band where pianist Tom O’Grady draws the compositions more towards jazz. Gareth Lumber’s saxophone and flute, Sam Ewen’s trumpet and flugelhorn, Chris Booth guitar, Jon Mapp bass and Ric Elsworth on drums.
Sanko emerges with a deep and warm voice that carries memories of soul legends Bill Withers and Al Green. Close, sensitive and slick pop-soul. Now he comes to Stockholm with his new album “Won’t be lonely”.
