Cornetist and trumpeter Tobias Wiklund presents his new project “Inner Flight Music”, a visionary musical adventure that leads the listener through the worlds of jazz and improvisation on a journey towards spiritual deepening. With his unique ability to unite tradition and the present, composition and improvisation, Tobias has created an artistic universe that combines the richness of detail of minimalism with the unpredictable expressive possibilities of free interaction.
Wiklund has long been a prominent figure on the European jazz scene, known for his critically acclaimed albums such as “Where the Spirits Eat” and “SilverNeedle”. His characteristic tone and artistic vision have made him one of the Nordic countries’ most interesting music creators. He has also collaborated with a number of prominent artists such as Håkan Hellström, Bob Hansson, Maria Faust and Elin Forkelid, Fire! Orchestra, which further confirms his versatility and artistic breadth.
“Inner Flight Music” is a colorful meeting between some of Nordic jazz’s most personal musicians.
